Signup and email

The signup form collects your email address and records the wording and version of your consent. A confirmation email verifies control of that address before the newsletter contact is activated.

Cloudflare Turnstile helps protect the form. Browser and IP information are processed for form security and rate limiting. The service runs on Google Cloud, and Firestore stores pending signup state, consent evidence, and rate-limit state. Resend sends confirmation and welcome email and holds confirmed newsletter contacts.

Click tracking is enabled for email links; open tracking is disabled.

Retention and requests

Consent evidence is retained for an active subscription and six years after a recorded withdrawal or deletion request. It is not automatically deleted.

You can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of any daily edition. For questions or requests to access, correct, or delete information connected with your email address, email Jared using the address above. Requests are handled manually.
